The Kinabalu International School is owned and managed by the Association of Parents of the school. Every parent of the school automatically becomes a member of the Association. Each year at an Annual General Meeting a Board of Governors is elected from amongst the school’s parent community. The Board meets once a month with the school Principal, the Head of Operations and a teacher representative who is elected by the staff, to oversee the financial and academic administration of the school. The Board of Governors delegates its powers and responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school to the Principal.
