About KIS
Kinabalu International School is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The school delivers a rigorous academic education for students aged 3 to 18, based on the English National Curriculum and the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes. In addition to a demanding academic curriculum, students participate in a wide range of sporting, performing arts and co-curricular activities. The school currently caters for students from 17 different nations, employs a highly professional international teaching staff and enjoys an excellent reputation. Our students are highly motivated, hardworking and a pleasure to teach. We have a very friendly and supportive staff team, and strong links with parents and the local community.

August 2026 Teaching Vacancies 

    We are looking for passionate teachers with internationally recognised teaching qualifications and a

    minimum of three years successful teaching experience, with teaching qualification or a degree in a similar

    field to education who has a passion for working with children of all ages. Applicant must be committed team player keen to contribute to the ongoing development of our busy, expanding and forward-looking school, and willing to play a full part in the school’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programmes.  Excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential.

    We are looking for a Teaching & Learning Assistant for our Primary School. If you have a teaching qualification or a degree in a similar field to education, we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate would ideally be someone with a passion for working with young children. You need to be a committed team player who is keen to contribute to the ongoing development of our busy, expanding and forward-looking school. Excellent spoken and written English language skills along with good computer skills are essential.
