Student LifeField Trips & Residentials

At KIS we pride ourselves on education the whole child. Part of this education is helping all of our students to become more independent and developing an understanding of the country in which they are living.

DAY TRIPS

KIS runs day-long field trips to local places of interest, including the University Malaysia Sabah, the local marine park, cultural centres and museums. Learning objectives are set for each trip and key information is shared with parents well in advance of the scheduled trip. These trips are in important part of the KIS curriculum as they enable students to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the topics being taught through hands-on learning and they create memorable experiences.

RESIDENTIAL TRIPS

Residential Trips are important both academically and pastorally. Each trip has a different core focus, which has been designed to enhance the topics being studied and provide the students with opportunities for personal and social development. Through shared experiences and challenges outside of the classroom, the students develop the skills of independence, confidence and a sense of adventure in a safe and structured setting with their friends and teachers. These residential trips are always a highlight in the school year and are eagerly anticipated.
