GIVING BACK & SERVICE LEARNING
At KIS, we believe in fostering reflective and caring citizens who understand the importance of giving back to the community. Through various programs throughout the year, students are encouraged to think of others and actively contribute to meaningful causes. Committees such as the Charity Committee, EcoWarriors, and classroom initiatives provide opportunities for students to engage in service learning. As a green school, the EcoWarriors have led numerous initiatives, including beach clean-ups, mangrove clean-ups, and recycling projects, as well as advocating for food waste reduction and the Bring Your Own Container campaign. Additionally, the KIS Charity Committee has built a strong connection with the Cheshire Home through the annual Christmas Angels Project. Our students have also raised funds and donated physical items to organizations such as the Down Syndrome Association, Bondulu Toboh Children’s Home, Don Bosco, Rainbow of Hope, and the Sabah Society for the Deaf. Through these efforts, we continue to inspire a spirit of compassion, environmental stewardship, and service in our students.
