WEEKLY HOUSEPOINT TOTALS

Our third term is going to be an exciting one as the weekly battle for Housepoint champion really hots up! This week sees the first ever tie for the top spot in the exciting weekly race. Third place were only 7 points behind, which works out to be a difference of less than 1 housepoint per year group! I think you’ll all agree it couldn’t be closer!

This week, the housepoints we awarded to each team was:

In 2nd place with 188 housepoints is Sulug!

In JOINT 1st place with 195 housepoints is Gaya and Sapi!

Congratulations to the Pangolins and the Sunbears for the first tied win of this year! How close will the race for first place be next week??

GO GAYA PANGOLINS!    GO SAPI SUNBEARS!        GO SULUG SHARKS

DOJO CHALLENGES

It was wonderful to see everyone doing the things they really enjoy for the Fun Challenge this week! I was lucky to share in pupils favourite things and it was great to see lots of children enjoying reading, playing games, spending time outside, swimming, building Lego and drawing, to name a few activities KIS loves! If you get a chance to do something you love this weekend, what will you do? Perhaps you may take the chance to complete our latest fun challenge?!

This is the last chance you have to complete the April Monthly Maths Challenge! If you’d like to attempt the April challenge, there is a task for Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 to attempt. Good luck maths challengers! All entries for the Monthly Maths Challenge are due by Friday 30th April 2021.

As this week saw the celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, the weekly Fun Dojo Challenge is a chance to reflect and enjoy the world we live in. Get out and enjoy a walk on the beach, take a hike, paddle in the ocean and enjoy any nature based activity. As the 2021 Earth Day theme is to restore our Earth, make a pledge of what you can do to reduce, reuse, recycle and make a change for the better. Share your pledges and photos on your Dojo portfolio to earn housepoints for your House!

Take a check back through our School Story posts to share past B@B stories and next week we’ll return with yet another brand new story read by another member of our KIS staff!!

If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder. You can also use this link https://cutt.ly/LfcFEyn to access the folder and find the details for all the challenges shared this week. If you have any questions, please do get in touch via email; sbarlass@kis.edu.my or through Class Dojo messages.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”

Happy challenging KIS!
