WEEKLY HOUSEPOINT TOTALS

The battle for the Weekly Housepoint Championship continued as all teams worked hard and earned a grand total of 898 housepoints overall. It resulted in another switch around in places on our weekly leaderboard and is one of the widest margins between Houses that we’ve seen for a long time!

In 3rd place, with 256 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 314 housepoints is Gaya!

DOJO CHALLENGES

Gaya Pangolins take the Dojo Challenge crown this week! Congratulations to everyone who took part in the various challenges and helped earn extra housepoints for their House. It’s been great to see delicious ice cream sundaes being enjoyed and I was extremely impressed with the skills of those children who took on the challenge to build a house of cards. Who will choose to complete the challenges this week and help bring their team to glory?

The Monthly Maths Challenge continues this week with the February Challenge! If you’d like to attempt the February challenge, there is a task for Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 to attempt.

Good luck maths challengers! All entries for the Monthly Maths Challenge are due by Friday 26th February 2021.

This week’s fun weekly Dojo Challenge is to create a cartoon monster by rolling a dice and drawing the different parts that match the number rolled. Check out the shared folder on the Google Drive for the instruction sheet and I look forward to seeing the crazy monster characters created by the luck of the dice roll!

There will be more Book @ Bedtime…or Anytime stories returning next week as more members of our KIS staff share their favourite books and stories with you. Don’t forget to check back through all the School Story posts for all past Book @ Bedtime stories that have been recorded so far!

If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder. You can also use this link https://cutt.ly/LfcFEyn to access the folder and find the details for all the challenges shared this week. If you have any questions, please do get in touch via email; sbarlass@kis.edu.my or through Class Dojo messages.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”

Happy challenging KIS!
