DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!

I think it’s safe to say that our Primary students are some of the most creative and imaginative students I have known and this week’s Fun Dojo challenge allowed their talents in these areas to really shine. They were tasked with creating unique representations of the House Mascots and they certainly produced these! I saw some fabulous drawings, creations using a range of materials and some beautiful creations of each House Mascot!

Gaya Pangolins and Sulug Sharks were our joint Dojo Challenge Champions this week! Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week.

The Monthly Maths Challenge is back for October!!  Make sure you check out the Drive folder to find an OctoberMaths Challenge suitable for your year group. There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. All submissions for the Maths Challenge are due by Friday 28th October 2022. Good luck everyone and get those maths brains crunching!

The Fun Challenge this week focuses on the well being of ourselves and those around us. As we celebrated KIS Care Week this week in school, our Fun Dojo challenge provides you with a Bingo challenge to complete! How many random acts of kindness and wellbeing activities can you do for yourself and others? Check out the Google Drive folder for the “Random Acts of Kindness and Well Being Bingo” sheet and see how many suggested activities you can complete. We can’t wait to see all the care KIS can spread to each and every one of us!

Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”

Happy challenging KIS!

LIFE THRU A LENS

The return of our popular Life Thru a Lens competition saw an amazing array of photos submitted to show the theme “New Beginnings”. Primary students took some really interesting photos that represented this theme and our staff judges had a very difficult decision to choose the winners.

Judging and voting has been going on all week and we were proud to reveal the overall winners during our Weekly Assembly at the end of the week. One winner was chosen from each House in each Key Stage and they will have their photo printed and displayed on the walls of the Primary Key Stage Office.

Please join me in congratulating the winners and admire their amazing photos for New Beginnings!
