SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS

Another successful week with the House Team! All ECAs continue to grow in popularity and it was especially nice to see more students attend the Quiz. This week was a special Eco edition held by Julia.

In House 2Ball, Allen and Zack from Y11 are still in first place and will hope to hold their position as half term approaches. Sapi continue to dominate board games with some excellent Chess performances from Brendan and Jason whilst Jonathan won Exploding Kittens.

In the House Sport ECA, Gaya continue their dominance and are top of the league in both Football and Basketball. Will Sulug and Sapi be able to rally comebacks we enter the final two weeks…..

We are also approaching the deadline for #2 Six Word Story and I look forward to reading the final entries so please submit yours to earn house points.

in-House #3 brings you a Sapi Edition of House Mates where they answer some questions about their teammates during the House Sport ECA.

Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins for another win this year! They continue to be the House to beat this year! I can’t wait to find out who we will be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week!

DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!

We were inundated with entries to our very popular Life Thru a Lens photo challenge as Primary students snapped away to photograph images that represent New Beginnings. I was impressed with the range of interpretations to this theme and was delighted to look at all the different photos showing new buds on flowers and plants, baby brothers and sisters and a multitude of sunrises, amongst other photos.

The hard task is now for the Primary teaching staff to choose the winning entries from each House in each Key Stage. Judging the entries will take place over the next week or so and we will share the exciting results with you all soon!

However, our congratulations go to the Gaya Pangolins who are our overall Dojo Challenge champions this week with the most challenge entries for their House!

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week.

The Monthly Maths Challenge will return next week with a new challenge for October. Be sure to check out the challenges we will share next Friday for your year groups!

The Fun Challenge this week is another creative challenge where you can create your House mascot in a fun, unique and imaginative way. Will you be able to make a Lego build of your Mascot? How about making your mascot extra tasty by creating their image as a snack or cake or cookie? Could you create an amazing painting or sketch of your mascot? There are so many ways to create your mascots and we look forward to seeing what amazing, imaginative creations you will produce! Good luck everyone!
