PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL
The hard work and efforts continued as we headed to the end of this half term and Primary students continued to show the attributes we are so familiar with at KIS! We were pleased to award a collective total of 638 housepoints to all students in all Houses and cannot wait to see how many more we will earn after our short break.
Our Weekly Class winner will return after the half term break as we were too busy celebrating International Day this week! However, we did find our Weekly House Winner who clinched victory this week by only 3 housepoints!
The housepoints awarded to our 3 Houses was:
In 3rd place with 211 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 212 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 215 housepoints is Sapi!
Our congratulations go to Sapi Sunbears for this first win of this academic year! I can’t wait to find out who we will be celebrating as Housepoint Champions when we return after the half term break!!
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!
DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!
It was wonderful to see all the photos of smiling, happy faces as Primary completed random acts of kindness and activities that spread wellbeing to themselves and everyone around them. There were so many completed bingo sheets and I am proud of everyone who took part in this challenge to help everyone’s mental wellbeing after our successful KIS Care Week.
Sapi Sunbears were victorious as the Dojo Challenge Champions this week! Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week.
The Monthly Maths Challenge continues for October!! Make sure you check out the Drive folder to find an October Maths Challenge suitable for your year group. There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. All submissions for the Maths Challenge are due by Friday 28th October 2022. Good luck everyone and get those maths brains crunching!
The Fun Challenge this week celebrates our International community after our end of term International Day celebrations! Earlier in the term we celebrated our Malaysian pride for Merdeka Day. Now, you can celebrate our International Pride as you choose to celebrate the country you are originally from or a country you love! Choose one of the many countries represented by our amazing international community and produce some artwork showing the national animal of your chosen country. Or bake their national dish. You might even want to recreate a national landmark from the country you choose to identify with. Let’s show off everything that KIS has to be proud of as part of an amazing and diverse international community!
Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department may use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for KIS social media sites. Please use the link above, complete the required information in the Google Form and upload your photos.
If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder.
You can also use this link https://cutt.ly/LfcFEyn to access the folder and find the details for all the challenges shared this week. If you have any questions, please do get in touch via email; sbarlass@kis.edu.my or through Class Dojo messages.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”
Happy challenging KIS!
