From the Principal 7.12.2019
Good morning, enjoy your breakfast, think about what to wear and then make your way to KIS and join us for the Christmas Fair from 10am to 2pm. A great way to spend the day with your family and the KIS community.
A huge thank you to our PTASC and supporting PTA members for all of their hard work to make sure the Christmas lunch was such an enjoyable event for all. Despite the early rain, it really was a great KIS community day.
Having met last Monday, the Board of Governors have agreed the Board’s positions for the next year:
- David Powell (Chair)
- Martin Forsyth (Vice Chair)
- Shirley Yu (Secretary)
- Angus Wong (Treasurer)
- Gina Pang & Park Seon Yeong (Community Liaison)
- Hans Dols, Matthew Loh & Toto Setiawan (IDC)
In staffing news, we welcomed back Ms Tina to our Admissions department having spent some extended time following the birth of her son Jagger. We also welcome Mr Friendly to our Ground Staff, he has taken over the duties of Mr Tor who left us last week.
Details for events taking place next week, such as the Primary Enterprise Week, can be found in the newsletter and also were emailed to all members of our community a few days ago. School will finish for all students on Friday 13th December at 12pm. Please be aware there may be some congestion on our road towards the end of next week due to the Ministry of Sport organising a cycle event on Bukit Padang.
A reminder that from January we look forward to seeing students wearing items with the new school logo (except for hats), the time has come to retire the old logo. We have available logo patches that can be sewn over or to swap the old logo and these can be purchased in the school shop.
Finally, if you didn’t get the chance to see the Primary Christmas Choir, they are performing next week on Wednesday at the Hyatt Hotel. Tuesday next week is also the Primary Sing-along starting from 6pm.
I wish you all a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you later today.
