Dear KIS Community,
The staff have been busy preparing for the return of students next week. Whilst we are all excited, we do understand that some students and parents may be anxious to return physically to school. Please read through our SOP’s with your children. Staff will be available to support you during these coming weeks. Check the letters from Mrs Renshaw and Ms Hitchen for further details.
School life continues as usual, last week Secondary hosted a very successful presentation to the Year 9 students and parents about the option process. Year 9 are preparing for their transition to IGCSE in Year 10. This weekend, many of our older students begin a three day adventurous journey as they practice for their Gold Award.
The KIS AGM will be taking place next week, please check emails for invites to register for the online meeting starting at 9.30am on Saturday 27th. Do join us, this is your school. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Board of Governors, contact elish@kis.edu.my.
I am sure many of you are planning trips during the Christmas break. I wish to remind you that we will have the first week back of Term 2 in January online, to act as a circuit breaker to keep possible infections out of school. As per our SOP, if you are outside of Malaysia during this first week, you will still need to keep your children at home for a week after you return. The safety of our school community is our priority.
