From the Head of Primary 26.09.2020
On Friday I virtually attended the AIMS Primary Heads meeting via Zoom. It was really great to be able to talk to colleagues from across the region about their beginning of year experiences. For all of us in our different schools not only in Malaysia but also across the world, the beginning of this school year has been very different.
Different of course is not always easy to manage and cope with and this is something that Year 6 have been exploring through their class text Wonder. As I sat in on a few of their lessons this week, I was really impressed and very proud of how the children talked about and discussed some very sensitive issues that the book throws up.
During assembly this week I reminded the children about the International cook book that the PTA will be producing as part of International Week. We of course cannot have a cookbook without any fabulous recipes and so please do send your family favourites in by 1st October. As well as recipes, the PTA are looking for some artwork to illustrate pages in the book as well as designs for the front and back cover.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

ECO WARRIORS UPDATE
Mrs Holmes has been busy this week watching all the amazing videos sent to her with the children in Primary stating why they would like to be Eco-warriors and something they felt especially passionate about. A special mention to Hafiz in 3K who spoke with clarity and passion about the state of our oceans.
Please see the list below for the Primary Eco-warriors for 2020-2021. News updates can be found on the eco warrior board with a reusable sign lovingly made by the Story sack ladies.
