From the Head of Primary 25.09.2021
Thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend the parent/teacher settling in meetings, this week. It was lovely to see such a great turn out, even though they were held online. This is a great opportunity to continue building strong home/school links. If you were unable to attend but would like to make an appointment to meet your child’s class teacher, please do contact them directly through Class Dojo.
This week, I had the pleasure of joining the New Friends Team, for their first meeting of the academic year, where we welcomed some of our new families. The NFT welcome and support any new families to the parent community. Thank you to Helle for a fantastic presentation, I am sure it is very reassuring for our new families to have a team of parents ready to assist them, as they begin their journey with us.

I had my first meeting with the student council this week. It was great to see how enthusiastic they are and they all had some great ideas about improving our school. I will keep you posted with any developments!
I would like to offer a warm welcome to Shuwei Cui and his family who joined Y1 this week.
Finally, a reminder about our expectations while online:
- Students should be up and dressed ready to start their day as usual. Students should be dressed appropriately (not in nightwear). Some may prefer wearing their uniform as it gets them in the right mind-set.
- Students should have a suitable space to work, preferably at a desk in a brightly lit area. Nothing inappropriate should be visible to the camera.
- Students should keep their cameras on during the taught part of the lesson and be visible to teaching staff. They should only turn off their cameras when permission is given.
- Students should attend all lessons, complete all work and submit this as asked for by the teacher, following set instructions.
- Students should follow break and lunch times as timetabled.
- Students should check KIS email / Dojo regularly.
We really appreciate your support in ensuring that your child is following these, in order to maximise their learning experience online.
Have a great weekend everyone.
