From the Head of Primary 22.05.2021

It’s been quite a performance in Year 3 and 4 this week. The children have been challenged to perfect their presentation skills and have been learning all about the importance of voice projection, eye contact, speaking clearly, expression and confidence. In Year 3, the children have been studying an English unit on Performance Poetry and I had the pleasure of dropping into their lessons this week and discovering that many of the children have hidden talents. We even have a rapper in the class!

In Year 4, the children have been learning about the art of persuasion and were tasked to create a product using natural rainforest ingredients. During their lesson on Friday, I found out all about their creations ranging from Jungle Juice to itching seeds used to prank friends. A big shout out must go to the brave parents who ‘volunteered’ to present their child’s product. They all did a great job of persuading the audience!

In assembly on Friday, Mr Fletcher our Events Coordinator, announced Activity and Wellness Week to the children. Mr Fletcher’s enthusiastic presentation detailing what has been planned for the week put a smile on the children’s faces and I hope they are looking forward to it as much as we are. Thank you to those parents who have already paid the RM100 towards the cost of the week. The school’s bank account is Maybank – 560 102 107 440. Payment can be made electronically during the half tem break and by Wednesday 8th June at the latest. Please include your child’s name as reference for the payment.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and Harvest Festival break.
