From the Head of Primary 02.05.2020

Another week of remote learning and I continue to be impressed with the number and quality of your Dojo posts. From dinosaurs to rainforests the children have again embraced their learning with enthusiasm and commitment. I love to look at the children’s portfolios and see the pictures that they have posted and enjoy watching their videos even more. It is lovely to be able to see and hear the children taking part in the various tasks and activities that have been set by their teachers. Dojo and other online platforms are a great way for us to remain connected during this time and I think it’s true to say that we have all been on an online learning journey.

Since class teachers started weekly video calls at the beginning of term, many parents have commented that now they have learned to use video calling they will be able to call family and friends from all over the world. Video calls are certainly helping me cope with staying at home and as my own children are also at home in the UK and not at work at the moment I am enjoying daily calls rather than just a weekend catch up.

Every cloud has a silver lining as they say which leads me onto the FOBISIA creative writing competition.

The competition is open to children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 and entries should be sent to Mrs Hitchin or myself by 22nd May. Good luck!

Wishing you all a lovely long weekend.
