SGA JUNIOR TOUR 2023
A few weeks ago, sisters Chaeeun (7K) and Dahyeon (5K) took part in the 2nd leg of the SGA Junior Golf Tour played at Shan Shui Golf Club in Tawau. They were both competing in the Under 12 Girls Category and played outstandingly throughout the tournament. Dayeon despite being only 10 finished in the impressive position of 2nd place and was only beaten by her older sister as Chaeeun took out the overall title and 1st place.
Congratulations to both athletes and I am sure I will be reporting on more golfing success very soon!
FOBISIA Updates
The deadline for registrations for the U15 FOBISIA Games was yesterday Friday 19th May.
We have reached maximum capacity for the Boys team and so I will NOT be accepting any late registrations. I will be notifying parents next week if there is a need to hold trials to select students.
We have also reached the minimum numbers for the Girls team. However, If there are any girls in Year 8 and 9 who would still like to sign up I will keep registrations open for one more week as we have space for a few more students.
Liga SupaRimau Season B – Kick off confirmed for May 27th
As per my letter during the week, it has been confirmed that leagues will run for Under 8’s, Under 10’s and Under 12’s. As soon as we have information from the leagues regarding schedules we will send this out to parents via the KIS Vipers Liga SupaRimau Whatsapp group. I will be distributing shirts for Season B to students next week. Please make sure you have bought either the school’s secondary PE shorts or alternative navy blue shorts. Students must also have shin guards and football boots to play.
MSSD Sports Events
The school has registered for the 2023 season of MSSD events this year that are already beginning. Mr Richie is our MSSD Coordinator and so if you would any information on how to register your child for any upcoming competitions then please contact him by email rcelestial@kis.edu.my
