Primary FOBISIA Games – KIS Vipers Hothouse Thailand Tour!

Our Primary FOBISIA Vipers are travelling back from Thailand today after an incredible three days of extremely challenging competitions in swimming, athletics, t-ball and football. They were not only battling some very high level opposition from other schools, but also tough weather conditions with rain and storms frequently causing sudden changes to schedules and events as well as extremely high temperatures.

As I have come to expect from KIS Viper teams, our Primary squad handled everything that was thrown at them with courage, resilience, grace and most importantly without ever losing the smiles from their faces. They were wonderful ambassadors for the school and did themselves, their parents and their coaches proud.

What I love most about coaching our students at these FOBISIA Games, is seeing students constantly take risks and push themselves out of their comfort zone. I love to see the expressions of pure joy, wonder and excitement light up their faces when they put their fears and doubts to rest by achieving new personal best performances and the constant personal growth from completing a challenge that they believed was beyond them.

I would like to extend my thanks to the phenomenal staff of Mr Shaw, Ms Goldie and Mrs Schrijver who ensured that the Vipers were so well taken care of throughout the trip and that the students never lacked for support and encouragement or someone to remind them 50 times a day if they had their water bottle! I would also like to acknowledge the excellent efforts of Mrs Clifford for all the great work she did in the lead up to the trip. Her expert coaching and guidance certainly helped our Vipers obtain some outstanding results and performance in the athletics.

Many thanks to our travelling support team of parents who were always so full of cheer and praise for their efforts as well on the sidelines! I will have to add getting Viper Supporters Shirts made up for next year!

As I write this, the competition is far from over, students today will be competing in both athletics and football throughout the whole day in the heat. Should they have any energy left at the end of all that, then students will be able to show off their dance moves at the Gala Dinner and celebrate all of their amazing achievements!

There will be a full and comprehensive break down of the week’s highlights in the coming weeks newsletters but please for time being join me in congratulating all of our 2023 Primary FOBISIA VIPERS.

Liga SupaRimau Season B Updates

With registrations now closed for Season B, It is looking very likely that all three age groups (Under 8’s, Under 10’s and Under 12’s) will go ahead for Season B. I will send out confirmation of this and timelines for payments next week once we receive final confirmation from the organisers. We are also still unsure at this time whether the current restrictions on outside physical activities will have any impact on the start of the competition.
