Save the Date – EYFS Superheroes Sports Day is coming!

In Term 1, it was Secondary Sports Day. Term 2 saw Primary have their Sports Day. Now, our youngest athletes in school get the chance to put their skills to the test in our EYFS Superheroes Sports Day. Students in F1 and F2 will get to show off their speed, strength and other PE super powers in a series of special missions to help save the day!

The event will take place on Wednesday 24th May from 8:00-10:00am. Our Superheroes will assemble in the Hall to receive their instructions. We would love parents to come and join us for the morning and students are also invited to come dressed as their favourite superhero for the day’s events!

FOBISIA Updates:

Primary FOBISIA Games

It’s finally time to wish our Primary FOBISIA Vipers the best of luck as they look ahead to their exciting trip to Thailand for a fun and action packed week of sports! After we return from half-term break 24 students, accompanied by 4 very brave staff members, will make the journey to Pattana Sports Resort located a couple of hours outside of Bangkok to compete against 7 other schools coming from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and even Kazakhstan.

The Vipers Squad started their preparations back in January and have shown tremendous amounts of enthusiasm and dedication as they worked on improving their skills across the four sports of athletics, swimming, football and t-ball. I’d like to thank Ms Clifford, Mr Shaw and Ms Goldie for all their efforts in training the students over the past few months.

Good luck to all the Vipers –

Girls: Adel, Ashlyn, Charlotte, Clemence, Dain, Hayley, Jiwoo, Kaitlyn, Kaye, Mabel, Maddie, Sophia

Boys: Calvert, Devon, Hafiz, Hayden, Hei Ket, Jin Wei, Jonah, Justin, Naollin, Rafael, Seanan, Varshal

U15 FOBISIA Games

If you thought saying good luck to our final FOBISIA group in a couple of weeks would mean Miss Watt finally got a little rest you would be wrong! Letters to parents of students in Year 8 and Year 9 about next year’s U15 FOBISIA Games taking place in October have already gone out and we have already seen a lot of interest in this event!

A reminder that to register your child for the competition you will need to complete the Google Form (Click here for the link) and pay the RM1500 deposit to the school by no later than Friday 19th May. If paying by bank transfer please use “U15 FOBISIA Games *Childs name*” in the reference so we can easily identify what the payment was for.

If you missed the letter in your email this week then you can also see a copy of it here. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the FOBISIA Games.

Please also be advised that if we exceed 15 boys or 15 girls then we will need to look at having to select students based on their performance across the four sports of swimming, athletics, football and basketball.

Liga SupaRimau

Training started this week with the Under 12’s and Under 10’s in preparation for Season B. Please make sure your child has boots and shin guards for training as these are also a requirement for the competition.

We should find out after the 7th of May more information from the league organisers and then we will contact parents regarding league schedules and payments.
