Word of the Week! 28.09.19
The English Department has continued to be astonished, astounded and amazed by the lexical treats our Key Stage Three students have dished out to us this week. However, sadly, there can only be three winners.
So, well done to Pui Mun from 8S who entered one of my favourite words, ‘quixotic’. Her sentence – the idea of it just seemed so quixotic– has earned her five house points for Sapi and first place in the competition this week.
In second place we have Annabella from 9K with her entry ‘vociferous’. Her timely sentence –he was vociferous in his support of the President – has earned Sapi another four house points!
Lastly, we have Kaiyisah from 9S with the adjective ‘eccentric’. ‘The boy noted her eccentric appearance‘ has secured her third place in this weeks competition as well as three well-deserved house points for Sulug.
Well done to all our finalists and we are all looking forward to seeing if anyone can top these winning words next week!
