WELLBEING NEWS 23.04.2022

Welcome to our first KIS Wellbeing newsletter! The logo that you see here is chosen by the KIS community through a voting system which took place in Term 2. Many thanks! I will write this newsletter fortnightly to share tips and information related to wellbeing. Much of the information, I believe, are refreshers for all of us. The discussion about wellbeing covers a lot more than just our mental health state. There is no doubt that our mental health is an important part of our wellbeing. Somehow, everything we experience in life does influence our mental health state. Our own experience of wellbeing also differs from one another and there are many factors in life that contribute to our wellbeing. For example, physical health, friendship, hobbies, and self-care activities. I also believe that talking about our own mental health state is important and should be de-stigmatised. Talking about it may bring us closer to getting the help and support we need. Having said this, watch out for the next Wellbeing newsletter where I will share tips on how to start a conversation about feelings; emotions, and ultimately either taking charge of our own or helping others, in their journey to better mental health and wellbeing. Until then ~ have a pleasant week ahead.
