HOUSE NEWS 28.11.2020

Another week has passed and unsurprisingly it is another week when I was honoured to present yet more Housepoint Awards! Excitingly this week, more Gold Awards were presented to some of our youngest students! What a wonderful achievement and cause for extra celebration!

In our Zoom assembly, we shared names of pupils throughout Primary who earned an award and we are so proud of their achievements. I am excited to see what future awards we will be presenting in the weeks to come!

We cannot wait until we are back in school when we can present you with your Awards!

As the end of our first term approaches, so does the time when we find out who is leading overall in our battle for Housepoint Champion. Every week so far has been a very close battle between all three Houses and the top spot has been see-sawing back and forth. It is anyone’s guess who could be victorious at the end of Term 1. This week’s contest hasn’t made it any clearer over who could take that lead position as only 39 points separated first and last place. 

This week, the housepoints we awarded to each team was:

In 3rd place, with 296 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 323 housepoints is Gaya!

In 1st place with 335 housepoints is Sulug!

Congratulations to Sulug Sharks for the third week in a row! Can they hold onto this top spot in the last few weeks of this term and strengthen their chance to be overall winners in Term 1? Only time will tell and I cannot wait to find out who we will be celebrating in first place next week!

Gaya Pangolins are back on top this week as the Dojo Challenge champions! Good luck to all who take part in our challenges this week!

There is no Monthly Maths Challenge to share as all entries for the November challenge have been submitted. But worry not, we will return with a new Maths challenge for December on Friday 4th December 2020!.

The Fun Weekly Dojo Challenge this week, is to get involved in the “KIS Movember to Remember”. From Monday, we would love to see the eager hardworking faces of our KIS students beautifully adorned with their own Movember moustaches! To take part all you need to do is apply your own moustache throughout the week; this can be a moustache drawn on with face paint or make up. Alternatively, you could download and print any of the moustache printables shared in our Dojo Challenge folder and wear that. Take photos of your hairy upper lips throughout your online classes and share them with us through this Google Forms https://www.kis.edu.my/upload/. Help us to make sure that this is a Movember to Remember as we prove “It is MO fun to do online learning at KIS!” 

Deadline for photo submissions is Thursday 3rd December 2020. 

Book @ Bedtime…or Anytime is back again this week with a brand new story shared by Mr. White. He has chosen to read one of Roald Dahl’s brilliantly original and hilariously funny Revolting Rhymes. We hope you enjoy it!
