HOUSE NEWS 28.08.2021
Our wonderful Primary students have made an amazing start to this school year and I was so impressed to see how many housepoints everyone has earned over the last couple of weeks. Despite starting this year online, everyone has shown just what a fabulous attitude they have to their learning and I can’t wait to see our housepoint totals in the weeks to come!
The battle between the houses was very close with only 5 points separating 1st and 3rd place. The winning team clutched victory with the smallest margin of only 2 points! What an exciting start!
The housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place, with 358 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 361 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 363 housepoints is Sapi!
Our congratulations go to Sapi Sunbears who take the first win of this new school year!! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!
A huge congratulations to the Gaya Pangolins who were the clear winners of the Dojo challenges last week! They created some excellent welcome back posters with wonderfully inspiring messages to encourage everyone! I loved seeing the Maths solutions to each challenge shared and I even got challenged by some students to solve a maths puzzle they created themselves, inspired by the challenge they had already solved! Well done everyone who took part in any challenge last week. I can’t wait to see what KIS do with the challenges this week!

There is no Monthly Maths Challenge to be shared this week. We will return with the September Maths Challenge next Friday.
This week’s Fun Dojo Challenge is an exciting School Art Competition from Ms. Hitchen! She would like some beautiful art work created by our Primary students that can be displayed on the walls in front of the Primary Office. The theme for the artwork we would like you to create is “What KIS means to me!” You can create a sketch, drawing or a painting. You can work in colour or just black and white, using any art materials you would like. All entries for this competition are due in by Friday 10th September. Please share photos of your art work through the Google Forms and keep your original piece of art so that winning entires can be displayed at school when we return. Good luck everyone!
