PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

I know Ms. Hitchen was honoured to be the one to deliver all the Housepoint Awards to the Primary classes this week and teachers had the chance to present the printed certificates to all the pupils who have earned them so far! Well done again to everyone who has taken home their award this week. We continue to be proud of you all!
This week, we were able to celebrate more Housepoint Awards and announcements were made in our assembly for Bronze and Silver awards!
Congratulations for Bronze Awards this week go to :

Congratulations for Silver Awards this week go to:
Y4: Calvert and Maddie

Congratulations to you all! We cannot wait to see who we celebrate next week! Well done!!

HOUSEPOINT TOTALS
This week it was wonderful to have the Year 6 House Captains join me and total up the weekly housepoints, and as expected, they did an excellent job! Their quick counting and adding skills worked out that the Primary school had earned a collective total of 647 housepoints! Well done to everyone who has worked hard this week and helped earn housepoints towards this total.
Unsurprisingly, it was another close battle between the 3 Houses, with only 2 housepoints separating the winning team!
The housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place, with 213 housepoints is Gaya!
In 2nd place with 216 housepoints is Sapi!
In 1st place with 218 housepoints is Sulug!
Our congratulations go to the Sulug Sharks for achieving another first place this term! Who will we be celebrating next week?
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS!! GO SULUG SHARKS!!!
DOJO CHALLENGE
I have felt super inspired this week and that has been because of all the amazing quotes of inspiration I’ve had the pleasure of reading, as our Primary students took to our latest Fun Dojo challenge. The students have created some stunning works of art to present their chosen inspiring quote and I have loved looking at them all, not just because of how they encourage and inspire me but because of the thought, care and hard work that has gone into creating them. I am really excited now to present these to some of our Student Leaders and the Primary staff who have the very tough choice in deciding which quotes will be the winners and displayed in Primary so everyone can be inspired! Well done to everyone who took part. I cannot wait to share the results with you soon.
This week we have also been busy counting up the votes from the judges of the Young Attenborough photo competition. I am busy collating all the final votes and the results (including an exciting prize) will be announced very soon. My thanks goes to all the judges for their support and excellent judging!
Next week the Monthly Maths Challenge will return with our December challenge. It will have a Christmas themed twist and all entries will be due before we break for the Christmas holiday. Rest up your maths brains KIS and be ready to take on the next challenge!
The Fun Challenge brings our KIS community together. As we have watched many of our community become hairier throughout the month of Movember, it is now our students turn to join in the fun! Download the moustache cutouts or create your own ‘tache and wear it with pride at home. Don’t forget to take a photo of yourself wearing your moustache and share it with us. You might be included in the final Movember video! Join us and show that we all grow hair because we care.
Please upload all photos for the Movember challenge by Monday 29th November.
Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”
Happy challenging KIS!
SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS
Merit totals: this week has seen SAPI getting closer to SULUG!

House Points: GAYA has steamed into quite a lead! This in large part to the excellent motivation shown by House President, Freya Goddard, who has been encouraging and motivating her house to enter the weekly events. This is clearly bearing fruit:-
