PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

It’s only our second week back but Primary are showing their efforts and determination already, accumulating an impressive total of 631 housepoints across the school! Well done to everyone who has earned a housepoint towards this total! What totals can we reach in the weeks to come?

Our Weekly Class Housepoint Winners this week are Year 2 who earned an average of 6 housepoints per pupil. What a great achievement from some of our younger students!

The race between the Houses was as close as we have come to expect with our top House clinching victory by a mere 3 points!

The housepoints awarded to each team was:

In 3rd place with 208 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 210 housepoints is Gaya!

In 1st place with 213 housepoints is Sulug!

Our congratulations go to Sulug Sharks  for their first win of this school year! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!

GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!

In an exciting assembly this week, we sat enthralled as we listened to the potential House Captains from Year 6 present their speeches. They spoke about the qualities they can offer their team, in the hopes of gaining the votes and earning the prestigious title of House Captain 2022-2023!

Our potential Captains for each House are:

GAYA: Blossom, Justin, Kayla, Mabel and Naollin

SAPI: Ashlyn, Devon and Hei Ket

SULUG: Adithya, Charlotte, Chency, Jin Wei, Rafael and Serene

All the potential Captains spoke with confidence and impressed us all with their presence in front of all the Primary students! We now wait with bated breath to find out the results from the voting that took place back in the classrooms after assembly.

Stay tuned to find out the results when we reveal them in our Primary assembly next week! Good luck to all the potential Captains!

DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!

What a lot of New School Year Resolutions Primary students made last week as part of our fun challenge! It was so wonderful to see all the amazing targets and goals and promises our Primary students have set for themselves and it is going to be an amazing year as they all work to achieve them!

Sulug Sharks were the winning House for the Dojo Challenges set last week. Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week. Don’t forget to keep warming up those brain cells ready for the Monthly Maths Challenge returning next week!

Our Fun Challenge this week should get you up and moving as we challenge you to spell out your names completing a variety of fun exercises and movements! Make sure you check out the Google Drive folder for a copy of the poster showing the different exercises you can do for each letter. Why not try to spell out your whole family or your friends as well! If you want an extra challenge, can you design your own fun exercises for the letters you spell out in your name?
