HOUSE NEWS 25.09.2021

As we finish another week, it was wonderful to announce more children earning their Bronze Housepoint Award for reaching 40 housepoints. It is a great achievement and recognises the hard work, effort and dedication these individuals put into their learning on a daily basis.

I am certain that it won’t be long until we are celebrating more names and presenting more of our individual housepoint awards to the Primary students of KIS!

Congratulations this week go to :

F2: Sarah and Levi

Y2: June Ann

Y3: Aidan and Autumn

Y4: Adel

We cannot wait until we are back in school when we can present you with your Bronze Award Certificates! Well done!!

This week saw the Primary students smash through the 1000 points as they collectively earned a grand total of 1035 housepoints. Well done everyone!

Yet again, it was another close race between our 3 Houses and the winners clinched victory with a 4 point lead ahead of the second place team. Third place were only another 4 points behind. How much closer can it get?!

In 3rd place, with 349 housepoints is Gaya!

DOJO CHALLENGES

This week, the Dojo challenge champions were the Gaya Pangolins! There were so many wonderful entries to our new photo competition “Life Thru a Lens ~ A Pupil’s View of Sabah” and it was great to see the amazing talents and wide variety of photos shared. I am certain our judges have a tough job on their hands selecting the winners but I cannot wait to see which photos end up framed on the walls of the Primary Office! Well done everyone who took part in any challenge last week. I can’t wait to see what KIS do with the challenges this week!

The Monthly Maths Challenge will return next week with a variety of new problems and challenges to solve for October!

Our Fun Challenge for this week celebrates our Malaysia Pride following Malaysia Day celebrations last week. Anyone wishing to take part in this challenge is invited to create something that we can all recognise as Malaysian and create it using any materials they like. Suggestions include artistic drawings or paintings, building with junk modelling or lego bricks and even creating something using computer programming. What is something you recognise as Malaysian and how can you recreate it? Good luck everyone! We can’t wait to see your Malaysian creations!

Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:
