Which awards will we present next week?
WEEKLY HOUSEPOINT TOTALS
It has been another really close race this week to find out the House who leads us in the battle for the greatest housepoint total. When the final count was in, only 5 points separated the 3 Houses! This is all adding up to be a nail biting race to see if the Sharks can maintain their Term 1 lead! Can the Sunbears and Pangolins battle their way through?
This week, the housepoints we awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place, with 327 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 330 housepoints is Sapi!
In 1st place with 332 housepoints is Gaya!
Congratulations to Gaya Pangolins for their second win this term! Across the school year, they have been our champions for 3 weeks only; 2 of those wins have been in this term! Perhaps they will continue to dominate as the race goes on?! I’m excited to see the results next week!
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS
DOJO CHALLENGES
It was great to see so many scavenger hunts taking place last week and I was amazed at how many colour items were found to match the House colours! Well done to everyone who took part in the challenge. Gaya Pangolins remain the champions for the Dojo challenges for the third week in a row. Who will choose to complete the challenges this week and help bring their team to glory?
The Monthly Maths Challenge continues for January this week. This is the final week you can attempt the January challenge and there is a task for Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 to solve.
Good luck maths challengers! All entries for the Monthly Maths Challenge are due by Friday 29th January 2021.
The Fun Weekly Dojo Challenge this week, is another drawing challenge where I’d like you to incorporate a number into your drawing. There are some video tutorials and picture ideas in the shared drive folder to inspire you. However, if you have your own ideas of how to use a number in your drawing, please feel free to use them! Happy drawing KIS! I can’t wait to see your number pictures!
Book @ Bedtime…or Anytime returns again with a brand new story read by Mrs. Duffield. She is reading the beautiful story “This Way Little Badger” which is one I have not read before! I hope you enjoy snuggling up together this weekend to enjoy the story with family!
Don’t forget to check out past posts on the School Story page to see any stories you might want to enjoy sharing again and again!
If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder.
