WEEKLY HOUSEPOINT TOTALS
Despite our return to online learning, our primary students continue to show just how hard they work and what they can achieve with another super close race in the Weekly Housepoint Battle! Only 13 housepoints separated the 3 Houses in one of our highest totals achieved this year. Cumulatively, Primary earned over 2,000 housepoints this week alone. What a massive and thoroughly impressive total! I can’t wait to see what totals we achieve after our half term break!
This week, the housepoints we awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place with 722 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 724 housepoints is Gaya!
In 1st place with 735 housepoints is Sapi!
Congratulations to the Sunbears for their first win in this final term! How close will the race for first place be next week??
GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS
DOJO CHALLENGES
Sapi were the Fun Challenge champions for last week’s challenge as they built the most beautiful homes from their wonderful imaginations! Everyone who took part in the challenge created some amazing home builds and I loved seeing the variety of homes for pets and families built by those taking part. I can’t wait to see what challenges are completed this week! Let’s go KIS!
This is the last chance you have to complete the May Monthly Maths Challenge! If you’d like to attempt the May challenge, there is a task for Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 to attempt. Good luck maths challengers! All entries for the Monthly Maths Challenge are due by Friday 28th May 2021.
This week’s fun challenge invites you to join me with something I’m enjoying with my own family at the moment. We are loving playing board games and so I challenge you this week to play a game everyday! You could play board games or computer games at home with friends or family. You may even take your games outside and play in the park or in the pool. You can play a new game or a family favourite. Whatever games you play, have fun and enjoy yourself!
Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department will use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for KIS social media sites. Please use the link above, complete the required information in the Google Form and upload your photos.
Book @ Bedtime…or Anytime is back again this week with Mr. Bevan from our Secondary department reading a true children’s classic: The Gruffalo. Read along with him as he shares one of my all time favourite stories by a beloved author!
If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder. You can also use this link https://cutt.ly/LfcFEyn to access the folder and find the details for all the challenges shared this week. If you have any questions, please do get in touch via email; sbarlass@kis.edu.my or through Class Dojo messages.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”
Happy challenging KIS!
