HOUSEPOINT AWARD
It wouldn’t be another wonderful week at KIS without the chance to present more of our treasured housepoint awards. This week was no exception and we had the opportunity to present a range of certificates to many pupils throughout Primary. Well done everyone!

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL
Primary students are really showing their full potential throughout school as they worked hard to earn nearly 1000 housepoints collectively this week! The actual total was an impressive 972 housepoints. Well done to everyone who helped reach this total!
Our Weekly Class Housepoint Winner was Year 5 who earned an impressive 7 housepoints per pupil. Well done Year 5! What an awesome example you are setting for our school!
Now that just leaves us wondering who the House winners are! It was another super close battle this week with just a few housepoints separating each House as they battled to see who would come out on top!
The housepoints awarded to each team was:
In 3rd place with 320 housepoints is Sulug!
In 2nd place with 325 housepoints is Sapi!
In 1st place with 327 housepoints is Gaya!
Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins for the win this week! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!

DOJO CHALLENGE
The Dojo challenge champions saw a double celebration this week as the Sapi Sunbears and Sulug Sharks shared the victory! It was wonderful to see the Valentine Vibes from everyone at KIS who participated in our fun challenge and I was impressed with the creativity and imagination in which this challenge was completed! Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the challenge!

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week.
The Monthly Maths Challenge continues for one more week with our February challenges! Make sure you check out the Drive folder to find the Maths Challenge suitable for your year group. There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. Download the appropriate challenge sheets from Google Drive and get puzzling away to solve the maths challenge set! All submissions for the Maths Challenge are due by Friday 24th February 2023. Good luck everyone and get those maths brains crunching!!
The Fun Challenge this week is the return of the Life Thru a Lens competition for the fourth time this year! For this challenge, the theme is Library Lovers. How can you show what reading means to you in a single photo? Maybe you can take a photo showing you reading in your favourite spot! Your photo could be a snap of you surrounded by all your books! Whatever photo you take, make sure you get creative with a book in your hand and show off your love for the written word! Good luck everyone! All entries due by Thursday 23rd February 2023.

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department may use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for the KIS newsletter and social media sites.
