PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

HOUSEPOINT AWARD

Primary students continue to earn housepoints for their hard work and efforts across school. As a result, we have to keep presenting individual housepoint awards, which just keep getting bigger and better, This week was no exception as we presented 10 more awards to students across our Primary school.

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL

Primary have started this final half term with a bang as they worked hard and showed KIS attributes to earn a massive 825 housepoints! Well done everyone, what a super way to begin our final half term for this academic year! 

 

For the second week in a row, our youngest students in F1 were victorious as the Class Champions again! This week they earned an average of 6 housepoints per pupil for all their hard work! Well done F1. We are very proud of you all!

 

The battle between our Houses is still close and this week’s results were no exception!

 

The housepoints awarded to each team was:

 

In 3rd place with 273 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 275 housepoints is Sulug!

In 1st place with 277 housepoints is Gaya!

 

Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins who clinched the victory for another week in Term 3!

DOJO CHALLENGE

We had a small handful of entries for our Super Student challenge over the half term break which resulted in the Gaya Pangolins claiming victory as the Dojo challenge champions! Well done to everyone who took part in the challenge. We can’t wait to see what you achieve in the challenges still to come throughout this final half term. 

 

Good luck everyone! Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week. 

 

The Monthly Maths Challenge is back for May! Make sure you check out the Google Drive for the Maths challenge for your year group! There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. Check out the challenge details, download any files needed and get those maths brains calculating and solving! All submissions for this month’s challenge are due by Friday 26th May 2023. Good luck KIS!

 

This weekend marks two important dates for families. May 14th is Mother’s Day and May 15th is the International Day of the Family. To recognise these important days, you are challenged to take part in our Fun with Family Dojo Challenge! What do you do with your family to have fun? Play a board game, have a family dinner or picnic and spend time together doing the things you love. Perhaps you could create a piece of family art or even recreate your family tree. Share your activities with us and show how you can have Fun with Family!

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department may use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for the KIS newsletter and social media sites. Gaya continue to lead the House Sport ECA but Sapi are closing in on first place in the Dodgeball league and there is now only one point difference in the standings. The standings can be found here:
