A ‘Welcome to KIS’ coffee morning was hosted last Friday at Cafe Haru by the New Friends Team (NFT) for the parents and their families who are new to the school.

The coffee morning was a great success and provided an ideal opportunity for everyone to get to know each other as well as enabling the NFT to provide information about KIS to the parents.

We would also like to thank Mr Gross and Mrs Renshaw for joining us.

On Wednesday the KIS community celebrated the Chinese New Year with our annual Lion Dance on the basketball court.

It was a fabulous performance to behold and we were delighted to be joined by our neighbours from the Sabah Deaf Society.

Both Primary and Secondary students also participated in the celebrations by playing the drums very loudly and dressing up in the lion costumes!

Thank you to all the staff, students and parents who came to school dressed in Chinese colours / traditional clothing which made the event all the more special.

We would also like to thank the parents who helped to sponsor this event.
