Dear KIS Community,

It is not the end of a school year that it should be. I am sorry that we are unable to meet face to face, to wish each other happy holidays. To personally thank our colleagues for such hard work and dedication for our children over the past year or to be able to see their faces when we congratulate our students in celebratory assemblies for their achievements. I wish we could shake hands and give hugs of appreciation to those staff, friends and families who are moving on to pastures new. Instead, we have found new ways to express our appreciation, our gratitude and well wishes. Our thoughts and emotions are not lost, just sent digitally this year; one to remember, for sure.

Reports have been sent home and invites for final assemblies sent out. Thank you to everyone in our community for all of your time, energy and support throughout this past year. A few more days of school and then the time to rest and recharge before we start again in the new academic year. Whether you are travelling or staying here in Sabah, on behalf of KIS I wish you all a wonderful and safe summer. I look forward to seeing you all in the assemblies next week.

On a final note, the school shop has had an online site (you can see here) for the past year. Originally built from our parents’ feedback, we would love to hear from you now on how we can improve our online store to make it more of an enjoyable and practical experience for you. Please contact Ms Lisa with your feedback (lambrose@kis.edu.my).

Have a lovely weekend,

Ian Gross
