Dear KIS Community,

The opportunity to meet you in an informal setting, even on zoom, went very well this week. We had two sessions in Primary and Secondary and it gave us an excellent opportunity to talk to each other and for parents to be heard. Thank you to the parents who were able to join us. The next Laptops & Lattes will be on October 15th, the day before half term begins.

School has been prepared and staff are ready to greet our returning students next week. You can read our latest SOPs at www.kis.edu.my/postmcosafety and we are confident of a safe environment and return to school. We are also now working on the drainage under the basketball court so that this area will be in full use in the new term.

In community news, we say our goodbyes to Gwen Abbott and thank her very much for all her hard work leading the PTASC at a time that has been difficult for us all to be together as we usually are. Gwen and her family are relocating and we wish them all the very best for their new adventures.

We also say goodbye and thank you to Friendly Sutikin, a member of our ground staff and wish him well as he takes up a new position within the government services.  This weekend we welcome Damian Grant into KK following his quarantine in KL and we now look forward to bringing Megan Siddall over as soon as immigration allows us.

Have a lovely weekend and we wish happy birthday to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Sabah.
