From the Head of Primary 29.06.19
Wow what a busy, but amazing week!
This week the primary students have really been showcasing their talents to the utmost of their abilities. Year Six have had two wonderful performances of Olivia, the final night being a sold out event. I am not sure what the highlight of the show was as there were too many memorable scenes to mention, was it Julia and her wonderful singing? Myko and Harry as the double act of Fagin and the Artful Dodger? Brandon talking about his donkeys? Or Mr Fletcher acting as the Fat Lady? Who knows? But what I do know is that every single member of the cast has worked extremely hard all term to create a memorable production for everyone involved. A huge thank you once again to all the Year Six Team for the time, dedication and hard work that went in to pulling everything together.
Primary as a whole have also been busy preparing for the Summer Fair that happened on Friday. I was really excited walking round the classes during the week looking at all the products being made. I was even able to get some sneaky samples of some of the edible goods and was very impressed. A huge well done to every student involved in the business plans, marketing, and production of the numerous different products available. I am looking forward to finding out on Monday how much money the stalls all raised.
As the term is drawing to a close just a few reminders of upcoming events. Monday your children will bring their school reports home, please can you ensure you return the blue letter inside as soon as possible to class teachers. As KS2 have their swimming gala on Tuesday, and only EYFS and KS1 are in school, please note that there will be no PASS Club available. On Thursday we will have our end of year Celebration Assembly where we will find out who was awarded the very first Primary Global Citizenship Award among other awards. Friday is the last day of the academic year. Please do not forget that school finishes at 11.30am on Friday. There will be no PASS Club available this day so a prompt pick up will be greatly appreciated.
