From the Head of Primary 28.09.2019

Thank you to all of the parents who were able to come into school this week for the parent/teacher settling in meetings. It was lovely to welcome so many of you and it was a great opportunity to continue building strong home/school links. If you were unable to attend but would like to make an appointment to see your class teacher please do contact them directly through Class Dojo.

We will be holding a Dojo parent workshop on Wednesday 9th October for all parents who would like to find out more about how Class Dojo is used in school. The workshop will be led by Mrs Fletcher and will take place in the MPR at 08.00. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your feedback on how Dojo is working for you as a parent.

This week’s celebration assembly was indeed a cause for celebration. A huge well done to all of the children who took part in the under 12 swimming competition last weekend at Penampang Sports Complex. The swimmers were presented with certificates in assembly and did a great job of telling us all about their achievements. I also had the pleasure of presenting some of our mathematicians with certificates for their participation in the Singapore Maths Competition last year. You can find our Stars of the Week on Dojo.

This week I spoke to the children about bringing toys into school. Can I please ask you to remind children not to bring any electronic or valuable toys into school. It is inevitable that from time to time belongings will get lost and children are understandably upset when their favourite possessions cannot be found. Please keep favourite toys and games at home to enjoy.

Finally a warm welcome to Aisyah Joel Lim and her family who joined Foundation this week.

Have a great weekend and remember to prepare your International Day costumes for Next Friday.
