From the Head of Primary 27.06.2020

Yesterday, the end of year primary reports were all emailed home, Although proof reading so many made my eyes boggle at times, it was a job that I loved doing. It was wonderful to read each individual child’s teacher comment and reflect on how far each child has come this year. From student leadership to achieving personal goals and targets, I can honestly say that it’s been quite a year for them all. Remote learning obviously comes to mind first and I am sure that you will agree, the children’s adaptability, resilience and commitment to their home learning has been a testament to them. Don’t get me wrong. They have had their good days and bad days just like we have but every time they have managed to pick themselves up and dust themselves off and that is testament to not only the children but to you as parents and of course their wonderful teachers who have been there to encourage and offer words of wisdom.

As the school year draws to a close and we virtually celebrate all of the wonderful achievements that have been made this year, I would like to thank the school community for their continued support and for making my first year as Head of Primary such a memorable one.

Bring on Term One of the new academic year. We’ve got this!

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you can join us for the live and final end of year assembly next Friday. I will post the Zoom invite to Dojo early next week.
