From the Head of Primary 16.03.2024
This week at KIS Primary has been filled with enriching experiences and celebrations, highlighting the diverse and vibrant community we have.
As many of you may know, this week marked the beginning of Ramadan for many of our Muslim students. It’s a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and community bonding. We are committed to supporting our students during this period, ensuring they feel respected and valued within our school community.
We also had the pleasure of hosting an amazing Maths Day organised by Ms. Siddall. It was a day filled with exciting activities and challenges that sparked curiosity and enthusiasm for mathematics among our students. Events like these not only make learning fun but also foster a love for numbers and problem-solving.
In addition, our recent Celebration Assembly was a truly special occasion. We were fortunate to have members of our community join us to talk about Easter, providing valuable insights into the traditions and significance of this Christian festival. Our commitment to embracing and learning about different cultures and religions is an integral part of our school ethos, and such events serve as excellent opportunities for cultural exchange and understanding from members of the KIS community directly.
Now, I would like to take a moment to celebrate some of the achievements within our school community. Congratulations to our Stars of the Week, Trashless Class, and House Point Winners! Your hard work, dedication, and positive contributions to our school do not go unnoticed.
As we look ahead, please be reminded that next week marks the last week of term. With ECAs finishing this week, there will be no ECAs next week. Also, Primary students will finish at 11:30 AM on Friday 22nd with no Pass club. We hope this provides a smooth transition into the upcoming break and an opportunity for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude for the engagement and progress I’ve witnessed among our students during this term. Reading through the reports has been a rewarding experience, and I am immensely proud of the dedication and effort demonstrated by our students.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and a restful break ahead.
Warm regards,
Mark Beresford
