Leadership is about motivating, influencing, and inspiring people so that they work together to achieve the goals of a team. It’s important for students to experience leadership opportunities during their schooling, to learn the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities, and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Once again, our Friday assembly focused on student leadership with the much anticipated announcement of the Year 6 House Captains. A huge congratulations to all the Year 6 children who were brave enough to present to the rest of the school last week. The successful candidates are
During this week’s assembly we heard from the Year 2 House Captain candidates who did an excellent job of presenting their speeches to the rest of the school. No easy feat when you are six going on seven! We are all looking forward to finding out who will be announced as the Y2 House Captains next week.
Continuing with the theme of student leadership, next week each class will vote for a Student Council representative and the results will be announced in the Friday assembly. As well, Miss Kerry will be asking any students keen to be a Library Cadet to send in their applications.
