From the Head of Primary 02.04.2022
Well, we’ve made it to the end of Term 2 and we can all now have a well-deserved rest!
What a way to end the term, with an amazing Book Week reminiscent of the days pre-covid. A huge thank you to Mrs Colbeck, Miss Kerry and all the staff for making it such a success.
The week started with the Big Book Swap and the Big Read – it was wonderful to see all of primary reading en masse.

Competitions included a Scavenger Hunt, Guess the Teacher, Extreme Reading and the highly competitive Book Door Challenge where one class/year group fights it out to be the champion!
The winners were:

Throughout the week, many parents came to read to different classes in their home language which was just wonderful! A massive thank you to all our fabulous volunteers.

Of course the week ended with a PJ Day on Thursday and Book Character Dress Up Day on Friday. Costume Winners were:

Something newly introduced this term but likely to become a termly feature for our very last day of term, was a house event.
The students split into their F1/F2, Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6 houses for the last morning and rotated around the classes in order to compete in physical, creative, and intellectual challenges.
The winning House was: SULUG!!
Don’t forget about this fun project for the 2 week break!
