KIS’ Biggest Winner Weekly Workouts

Did you take the plunge last weekend and have a go at completing the four fitness tests to measure your cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance? Do you want to be able to move for longer without becoming tired and fatigued? Do you find your muscles starting to hurt after a long day of running between children needing help signing into zoom calls, submitting work on google classroom or checking they aren’t on youtube during lessons? Maybe you just want to get out and start exploring the wonders of Sabah or hike to the top of Mount Kinabalu but are worried that lockdown has caused you to lose some general fitness.

If the answer to any of those questions is ‘yes’, then maybe try completing one of these workouts designed by the students to challenge their teachers in developing their fitness following the results of their initial tests.

Jaxon (7K) from “Fitness For The Better” will lead you through a comprehensive session aimed to improve your muscular endurance in your lower body and core muscles.

Check it out here.

Daniyal (9S) from “Ultimate Gains” will be putting Mr. Gross through his paces with this challenging workout to improve endurance in his core.

Check it out here.

Before beginning any workouts make sure you take the time to warm-up correctly, which I am sure your children in secondary can tell you needs to include some pulse raising exercises followed by some dynamic stretches to get your joints moving freely. Don’t skip the cool down or you might regret it! Follow your workout with a gentle cool down including some static stretches to make sure you are ready to go again for the next workout.

We hope you enjoy and are all making time to keep active and look after your physical well-being.
