KIS Second Beach Clean-up
Saturday 16th March saw an amazing turnout from our school community as we gathered at Tanjung Aru Beach 1 for the second KIS beach clean-up. We had students and staff from Primary and Secondary as well as members of the Board, PTA and Eco-Warriors. All joined in with the task of removing as much plastic and other rubbish from the beach. As house points were awarded for every kilo of trash collected, the challenge was set. Four hours later, we had collected 208.2 kilogrammes and house points were awarded as follows:
Sapi | Sulug | Gaya |
26 | 91 | 92 |
Well done to Gaya!
Last time we collected 250 kilograms so we are fairly consistent in our efforts.
Many thanks to all who took part, it was a very hot day, and to the Eco-Warriors for their organisation. See you in Term 3!
