Liga SupaRimau Under 10 Season Opener!

Rise and shine, it’s football time! Well, for 15 very excited Year 3 and Year 4 students it is today with the opening match of the Under 10 Liga SupaRimau League kicking off at 8:00am at Likas.

KIS actually have two teams in the Under 10 competition and so the opening match sees friend vs friend and Viper vs Viper, as the Under 10 (A) team squares off against the Under 10 (B) team.

Due to the decision to split the Under 10’s into two teams, numbers in both teams are quite low and so we would welcome the addition of any other players keen to give football a go. If you are interested in registering your child then please email me (cwatt@kis.edu.my). Please note that for safety reasons we will not be accepting any players from below Year 3 at this stage.

Disappointingly, the Under 12 team have the agony of waiting yet another week as their first match this weekend was rescheduled.

A reminder to parents that the match fee payments must be paid to the office by the end of next week.

If you are up and dressed, feel free to come on down to the synthetic football training pitch next to Stadium Likas to cheer on the Vipers!

FOBISIA Updates:

Under 13’s FOBISIA

The Under 13’s FOBISIA Squad are carrying out some of their final preparations before their departure in just 2 weeks time with an athletics training session at Likas Stadium.

The squad have demonstrated a fantastic attitude and commitment to their training and are being rewarded with clear improvements in their performances across the four sports.

In the coming week, a number of the U13’s students will have the opportunity to take part in a basketball tournament being organised by KK Basketball Association. This will be hugely beneficial for the players in their preparation for the FOBISIA Games.

Primary FOBISIA

A reminder went out last week regarding the deadline for the 2nd Payment of RM1500 that was due yesterday on Friday 3rd February. If you have still not made this payment, please do so as a matter of urgency as we cannot proceed with booking flights until we have received all payments. Failure to make the payment could result in us not booking your child’s ticket at the time of the group booking and subsequently paying a higher price if booked late.

If you have recently renewed your child’s passport then please make sure we have a copy of the ID page for the new document.

You should have also received a copy of the Covid-19 Safety for Overseas Trips document. Please read, sign and then return to the front office. If you did not receive it then please contact me and will provide you with one.

Primary FOBISIA Swimming training sessions

On the dates below, students will travel from school by bus (with staff) to Penampang Pool for training. Parents will need to collect their child from the pool at the conclusion of the session promptly at 3:30pm.

Secondary Offsite Lessons Term 2

Double lessons offsite for all Key Stage 3 this term will be carried out at Borneo Sports Arena (BSA).
