SECONDARY HOUSE NEWS

House Sport ECA is halfway through for KS4 and KS5. Gaya, as they did for KS3, sit at the top of both leagues for Football and Basketball. Sapi find themselves in second place in HFL but third in HBL. Sulug are the opposite, they are currently in second place in HBL but third place in HFL.

In other competitions we are entering the final week for the #3 Six Word Story and the Musical Art competition. It would be great to see more entries in both and more information can be found here: https://sites.google.com/kis.edu.my/secondaryhouses/news

in-House #5 brings you a Gaya Edition of House Mates where they answer some questions about their teammates during the House Sport ECA.

PRIMARY HOUSE NEWS

HOUSEPOINT TOTAL

This week, Primary amassed a grand total of 610 housepoints across all 3 Houses.

 

Year 1 clinched the title of Weekly Class Housepoint Winners as they earned an impressive 6 housepoints per pupil! Well done Year 1. We are very proud of you all!

 

The housepoints awarded to our 3 Houses was:

 

In 3rd place with 210 housepoints is Sapi!

In 2nd place with 204 housepoints is Sulug!

In 1st place with 205 housepoints is Gaya!

 

Our congratulations go to Gaya Pangolins for clinching a win again this term! I can’t wait to find out who we will be celebrating as Housepoint Champions as this term continues!!

DOJO CHALLENGE THIS WEEK!

Thanks to everyone who took part in our Global Goals and Life Thru a Lens Challenge last week.Well done everyone who submitted photos. We look forward to celebrating the participants and winners of this challenge soon! 

 

Now it’s time to find out what challenges you can involve yourself in this week. 

The Monthly Maths Challenge continues with our November challenges! Make sure you check out the Drive folder to find a November Maths Challenge suitable for your year group. There are challenges for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6. Download the appropriate challenge sheets from Google Drive and get puzzling away to solve the various Maths Mystery challenges for this month! All submissions for the Maths Challenge are due by Friday 25th November 2022. Good luck everyone and get those maths brains crunching!

 

The Fun Challenge this week is a celebration of Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day is celebrated to remember all the people who have died in wars, since World War I. Poppies are used as the symbol for this special day as they were found growing in the soil churned up from the fighting. Your challenge is to craft your own version of the poppy; the symbol for remembrance. For crafting, you could use junk modelling, origami, paint, drawing, paper or any unique material and design you can think of! Have fun and create a beautiful poppy to commemorate Remembrance Day. Please upload all submissions for this challenge by Thursday 17th November 2022.
