Dear KIS Community,

Happy Leap Year, today only happens once every four years and to receive a KIS newsletter on the same day makes it even more unique, the next time this could happen will be in 2048!

Welcome home to our triumphant U13 Vipers. They have had a fantastic week of sporting endeavours. You can read all about their achievements in the sports section. Thank you to both Ms Watt and Mr Baxter for supporting and looking after them all.

Equally, thank you to the Year 6 Team for creating a wonderful week of memories for our Year 6 students who returned from Penang yesterday. Thank you Ms Dyer, Mr Burrows, Mr Fred and Ms June for a great week away.

Earlier this week parents, staff and some Alumni received the much anticipated CIS Community Survey. This is a great opportunity to support the school’s development as we work through our self-study. Please find the time to complete the survey, we will send reminders at the start of each week until the survey closes on March 10th.

I have sent an email regarding the ongoing Covid-19 situation. We will inform you if we need to impose self-quarantine for any other countries than Mainland China and at the time of writing, this is not the case. If the Ministry, State or Country impose any rulings, we will inform you and follow the guidance.

As we head into March, plans are well underway for Book Week from March 16th and you can read more about the events in the newsletter. Family Fun Day on the 28th is still being planned and if you want to get involved please contact Ms Ann in school.

Finally, KIS will be at the Promenade Hotel on Saturday from 12pm to 5pm at the Education Fair, come along and say hello.

I wish you all a lovely weekend,

Ian Gross
