Primary & Secondary Offsite Lessons: Week beginning Monday 3rd February

U13 FOBISIA Training

Parents, please be advised that training on Monday 3rd February will be at school and only for a few selected students who will be participating in High Jump at the competition. Selected students will be notified and parents emailed. 

MSSD

We are now asking for registrations for MSSD Athletics which will be held at Likas Athletics Stadium from the 18th-21st February for U12, U15 and U18.

If you would like to register your child for this event then please contact Mr. Richie (rcelestial@kis.edu.my) or Miss Watt (cwatt@kis.edu.my) for the necessary forms. 

In order to register, completed forms together with a copy of your childs’ passport or IC card and a passport photo MUST be submitted to the school by 12:00pm on Monday 3rd February. 

Due to the nature of the competition, we will need a minimum number of 20 students registered in order to take part in the event. 

There will be a participation fee involved but this will only be finalised once participation in the event is confirmed. 

Events that students can choose to compete in are:

U15/U18 – 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4 x 100m, 4 x 400m, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin Throw. Boys and Girls

U12 – 100m, 200m, 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put. 

MSSD Golf will take place during the Chinese New Year holidays at the Karambunai Golf Course at Nexus. Allen, (8K), Nicholas (8S), David (9K), Ben (9K), Angelina (10S) and Tim (10S) will all be competing in the U15 age group on Wednesday 29th January. While Caleb (6S) and Brandon (7S) will be taking part in the U12 competition on Thursday 30th January. Good luck to all our golfers in this event and we hope to see a few qualify to represent KK at MSSS later in February. 

After the CNY break, we will have 4 students in action at the the U15 and U18 Badminton Tournaments. Kon Han (8K) and Kon Yi (10K) will be hoping to progress to the State Championships in the U15 age group. With Wi Xie Heng (10S) and Clement (9K) will team up for doubles in the U18 competition and Heng also taking part in the singles competition. 

We will continue to update you as best as possible of upcoming events. Further details about events will be sent out to students via the daily bulletin and to parents through the newsletter or email. Please be advised that all paperwork and payments MUST be submitted by the stated deadlines without exception.

FOBISIA

Parents, please make sure you are checking your emails for details about any trips your children are involved in and ensuring that payments are made to the front office by the dates outlined. 

Current Payments that are due are:

U13 FOBISIA Final Payment = RM800 OVERDUE: Friday 17th January

Primary FOBISIA 2nd Payment = RM1500 DUE: Friday 24th January

FOBISIA Golf 2nd Payment = RM1500 DUE: Friday 7th February

If your child is in the Primary FOBISIA team or FOBISIA Golf, please make sure you have also supplied Ms. Sharon Wong with a current copy of your child’s passport ID page so we may proceed with booking flights.
