Word of the Week! 15.02.2020

From Mr Graham’s classes we have the following fabulous selections for word of the week!

In 7K, Marcus Leong found the word “prescient” – having a knowledge of events before they take place.

Hope Wu in 7S was almost (but not quite!) “bamboozled” by the array of new words she encountered in the dictionary.

Rayyan in 8K looked “askance” at a stray dog that was creeping ever closer to his lunch, while Liam in 8S was perplexed by “schadenfreude” – the German word for the pleasure that someone gets from someone else’s misfortunes.

In 9S Lewis Lee encountered the strange notion of a “revenant”, a person who has supposedly returned from the dead.
