Word of the Week! 02.11.2019

It’s been another impressive week for vocabulary from KS3.

The winner is ‘acquiesce’ by Sarah from Year 7S – I acquiesced in my doctor’s decision to have the surgery. Five house points for Sapi.

The runner-up is Jatin from 8K with ‘deplorable’ – Getting bad grades in easy subjects is deplorable.  Four points for Sapi.

Next is Yi Chen with ‘elusive’ – The police are finding it difficult to catch the elusive bank robber.  Yi Chen earns three points for Gaya.

A big ‘well done’ to the above students, and indeed all the students for supplying the English department with such a mouth-watering supply of words.
