Life after Lockdown Photography Competition 16.10.2021
As the half term holiday begins, I hope that you will all take the opportunity to capture some of the special and exciting moments that occur away from your laptops. Now that we have more freedom to travel and restrictions are easing, I hope everyone manages to do something fun and exciting this holiday. This is especially important if it’s something you haven’t been able to do in a while such as having fun and catching up with your friends. The photos below were kindly sent in by Arayyan Anwar and Kimberly Sia who were reflecting on happy times from the past and their dreams for ‘Life after Lockdown’.

I would also like to thank Tiggi Mornington-Sanford for sharing this lovely photo of herself on the beach at Kudat, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, which is something I’m sure we are all looking forward to over the next week.

As for me, I would like to celebrate the fact that I managed to go paddle boarding with some friends and fellow teachers recently. We were able to relax in the water, taking in the amazing scenery, before going snorkeling and then trying not to laugh at each other when we fell off on the way back.

As lovely as that experience was, it didn’t quite match the highlight of having my Y12 and Y13 students back in school last week. It has been wonderful to be able to teach them in person again and I am very much looking forward to when our KS3 classes come back as well.

So, I hope everyone has a fantastic half term and please don’t forget to send in your photos!
