International Life by the PTASC
As we are still studying remotely and practising good social distancing skills the PTASC thought we would start celebrating the internationalism of KIS by sharing a game played in a different country each week.
This week we will showcase a game from Australia
. Backyard cricket is a game all Australians have played at least once in their lifetime. It is a game that is played in a backyard, at a picnic, on a beach and wherever a strip of vacant land lies. All you need is a bat which can be anything that has a flat surface, ie tennis racquet, and a tennis ball. Makeshift stumps come in handy and these can be a stick stuck in the ground or even a garbage bin. And viola a game of backyard cricket can commence.
