HOUSE NEWS 30.09.2023

It was another short week for collecting and earning housepoints due to the Public Holiday this week. However, Primary students have shown off their hard work and dedication to learning again as they earned a collective total of 678 housepoints! Awesome work Primary! It was a close battle between all 3 houses with only 1 point clinching the win for the victorious House this time around.

The housepoints we awarded to each team was:

In 3rd place with 223 housepoints is Gaya!

In 2nd place with 227 housepoints is Sulug!

In 1st place with 228 housepoints is Sapi!

Our congratulations go to Sapi Sunbears for their first win this term! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!

GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS! GO SULUG SHARKS!!

Primary students continue to amaze and astound their teachers with their independent learning, hard work and exceptional attitudes. It is for this reason that so many housepoints have been awarded and we get the pleasure of presenting so many students with their Housepoint Awards.

This week we celebrated an exceptional 12 students who have earned their first 40 housepoints and so were ready to receive their Bronze Housepoint Award in assembly this week! What a wonderful achievement!

Congratulations for Bronze Awards this week goes to:

Y1: Cleopatra

Y3: Ally, Bosco, Jisoo, Krystal, Indigo, Roje, Sonny, Charlene, Gamin, Junu and Ocean

This week, our Fun Dojo Challenge sees the return of our favourite Primary photography challenge; Life Thru a Lens. The first challenge for this school year is My Micro Mission. Have you ever noticed how things look very different when you observe them close up? For this challenge, can you take a photo of an everyday, familiar object from a really close up angle? Make sure your photo isn’t blurry and try to get an interesting snap of something that looks really different when you see it really close up!

Don’t forget, the winning photos submitted to this challenge will be displayed around school. There will be one winner chosen from each House in each Key Stage.

If you need any more ideas for what you can do to complete this challenge, make sure you check out Dojo and scan your House colour QR code. Our Year 6 House Captains have created some great videos, filled with details and ideas to help you complete our Fitness Bingo challenge!
