Their dedication and continuous hard work, demonstrating the core values and principles of what it means to be a KIS student. HOUSEPOINT TOTALS

This week saw another really close battle to claim victory in the weekly Housepoint Totals with only 1 housepoint separating the top two houses! It can’t get any more exciting, but I’m sure that next week our hard working, dedicated Primary students will show us just how much closer and more exciting this battle can get!

The housepoints awarded to each team was:

In 3rd place, with 242 housepoints is Sulug!

In 2nd place with 248 housepoints is Gaya!

In 1st place with 249 housepoints is Sapi!

Our congratulations go to Sapi Sunbears for claiming another win!! Who will we be celebrating as Housepoint Champions next week?!

GO GAYA PANGOLINS! GO SAPI SUNBEARS!! GO SULUG SHARKS!!!

DOJO CHALLENGE

What a wonderful show of caring we had this week with the Valentine Challenge. Primary outdid themselves with their thoughtful, handmade items for friends and family members, showing their love and appreciation to all those special people in our lives. So many of our students and their families took time to bake, make and spend time together doing an array of fabulous things together! We hope that this challenge helped to spread love and happiness in your homes this week!

The Monthly Maths Challenge continues for February and there is a challenge for F1&F2, Y1&Y2, Y3&Y4 and Y5&Y6 to attempt. Choose the challenge for your year group and share your solutions. All solutions for the February Maths Challenge are due by Friday 25th February 2022.

The Fun Challenge this week is a special kind of treasure hunt. Taking the letters used to spell your House name and your House Mascot, hunt around your environment and find items beginning with each letter. For example, Gaya’s can find gloves (G) and yoghurt (Y). Sapi’s might hunt and find apples (A) and pencils (P). Our Sulug’s could find umbrellas (U) and Lego bricks (L).

Try to find as many different items for all the letters in your House and Mascot names! Once you’ve found all your items, take fun photos of them to share and complete this challenge!

Please share photos of your completed challenges through this Google Form link:

Ms. Lisa in our Marketing Department will use some of the wonderful challenge submissions each week to celebrate and share your wonderful work through videos created for KIS social media sites. Please use the link above, complete the required information in the Google Form and upload your photos.

If you missed the challenges when they were shared on Dojo on Friday, please check out School Story on Dojo to find the link to the Weekly Dojo Challenge folder.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible participating with these weekly challenges, but please do remember that all challenges are optional. All entries for all challenges will be awarded with housepoints towards their House Team total, because “Team work makes the dream work!”

Happy challenging KIS!
